Jan Dash was educated in the United States and received his Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University Law School in 1994. He was also educated in Trinidad and received his Certificate of Legal Education from Sir Hugh O. B. Wooding Law School in 1997. He is currently pursuing his Master of Laws in Taxation with an expected completion date of April, 2019.
Jan (pronounced “YAHN”) is a Member of the Bars of New York, the Federation of Saint Kitts-Nevis and the Territory of the British Virgin Islands and is a founding Member and past Chair of the Nevis Chapter of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (“STEP”). Jan has worked in the offshore financial services industry for leading international Trust Companies in the British Virgin Islands, Bermuda and Barbados.
He currently works in Charlestown, Nevis, Saint Kitts-Nevis as the Managing Partner of the law firm, Liburd and Dash. Jan has considerable experience in the areas of Corporate Law, Trusts Law, Private Clients and Real Estate Transactions and has published several articles on these areas of law. He is also a contributor to The Trident Practical Guide for Offshore Trusts, Asset Protection: Domestic and International Law and Tactics and the Financial Products and Private Banking sections of LawInContext.com.
